Metal is recycled by melting down scrap metal and reusing it in the production of new products.
Recycling metal reduces pollution, saves resources, reduces waste going to landfills and prevents the destruction of habitats from mining new ore.
Because metals are not renewable resources, meaning the supply of metals will eventually run out, recycling helps provide for their sustainable use.
recycling metals also considerably lowers emissions and the cost of production, which serves as a major incentive to metal producers.
Benefits
Recycling metals is helpful in reducing climate change but it is also economically beneficial. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, recycling metals preserves and increases the number of domestic manufacturing jobs and bolsters America’s competitive edge in international markets. Recycling metals lowers the amount of materials going to landfills, a service paid for by taxpayers.
Features
Metal by nature is suited for recycling. Unlike paper, metal can be recycled without any loss of quality or strength because its atomic structure doesn’t change when melted..

There are more than 9 Battery Recycling Plants of Gravita Exim all over the world that meet the criteria for Lead battery recycling. Gravita will celebrate April Month as Great Battery Roundup.
Earth Day is April 22, but Gravita Exim will celebrate it for the whole month with its annual “Great Battery Roundup”.
During April, Gravita Exim will accept scrap batteries and lead batteries at no cost; these used automotive or marine lead-acid batteries will be sent its plants where they can be recycled into new batteries.
Lead acid batteries are made up of plates, Lead, and Lead oxide with a 35% sulfuric acid and 65% water electrolyte solution. Lead acid batteries represent almost 60% of all batteries sold worldwide.
Car batteries contain about 18 pounds of lead and a pound of sulfuric acid, so they can be extremely hazardous and cause environmental contamination.
Battery Recycling Plant requires that the batteries be sorted according to chemistries. Some sorting must be done prior to the battery arriving at the recycling Plant. Nickel-cadmium, nickel-metal-hydride, lithium-ion and Lead acid are placed in designated boxes at the collection point.
